PSE Services Program

The UL Family of Companies offers comprehensive services for PSE Mark scheme.  UL PSE Services includes:

  • Communications with Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) and other organizations in Japan
  • Conducting factory inspections
  • Conducting safety/ EMC evaluations
  • Issuance of DENAN Product Certificate (DPC)
  • Preparation of Business Commencement Report in Japanese
  • Review of PSE Mark label

DENAN PRODUCT CERTIFICATE (DPC)

 

Notifying Suppliers must obtain a certificate to market Specified Products (SP) in Japan. We, as METI registered Conformity Assessment Bodies (CAB), can issue DPC for SP. As a part of value added services, we also offer DPC for Non-Specified Products (NSP). 

 

PSE AND CB SCHEME

For SP, PSE Mark scheme allows CAB to utilize test report prepared under IECEE CB Scheme, which may reduce fees and lead time.  Test report shall fulfill all conditions shown below:

 

-          IEC Standard is harmonized by PSE,

-          Test report comes with a valid CB Test Certificate, and

-          Test report covers Japanese National Differences.

 

Please be advised that Japan often does not adhere the latest edition of IEC Standard.  Refer to CB Bulletin for the applicable edition/ amendment.
